I never thought I would want or even need to have a fourm in which to share my thoughts. I will do my best to keep you current with wine and personal information. Well summer has ended here at the store. Right after Labor Day we got down to the hard work of resetting the store and making any big changes to the look of the store that we will make for the rest of the year. We have torn this place apart and put it back together. We did take the time to make some significant changes to the look and the feel of the store. I hope when you come in the next time you will notice the changes. In this process I found that I am really getting old and out of shape. This has been going on for a number of years when I took over the store in 2001 I was still in some shape but now the only shape I can claim is round. I have decided to get back to the gym and back to my prestore routine. So look for some new changes in me as well as the store.
We have just finished putting together today's in store tasting. What a great Line up 20 wines mostly from France and the US. This should be a great opportunity to get a feel for the new vintages from these 2 areas. I will post a few notes after the tasting. Next week looks like a ton of work with 2 midweek tastings and a number of my California and Washington State wineries coming in the market for tasting and visits. I will let you know if anything fun or funny happens.
