  Show Time

We have set up a fantastic tasting for today. 20 wines, With 10 of them discounted but at least 30% most 50% or more off. Last night I attended a party with a number of my old school friends (thanks Bruce). What struck me is how many people are really getting into wine. Seemed like everyone had a wine question or want to share a tasting note with me. Personally after a week of tasting I was drinking Whisky. I had the opportunity to share a bottle of Whistlepig with one of my friends. Both of us were blown away by the flavor and the subtle nuances. I liked it when I first tried it but I love it now that I can have it regularly. Worth trying if you are a bourbon or rye fan.

  Tasting Today

We have just finished putting together today's in store tasting. What a great Line up 20 wines mostly from France and the US. This should be a great opportunity to get a feel for the new vintages from these 2 areas. I will post a few notes after the tasting. Next week looks like a ton of work with 2 midweek tastings and a number of my California and Washington State wineries coming in the market for tasting and visits. I will let you know if anything fun or funny happens.
  A week of work

Well summer has ended here at the store. Right after Labor Day we got down to the hard work of resetting the store and making any big changes to the look of the store that we will make for the rest of the year. We have torn this place apart and put it back together. We did take the time to make some significant changes to the look and the feel of the store. I hope when you come in the next time you will notice the changes. In this process I found that I am really getting old and out of shape. This has been going on for a number of years when I took over the store in 2001 I was still in some shape but now the only shape I can claim is round. I have decided to get back to the gym and back to my prestore routine. So look for some new changes in me as well as the store.
Our new blog is Ready to go

I will also let me opinions and feeling be know. Please feel free to e mail me your thoughts or comment or even criticism I can take it. Hope you enjoy readding this and sharing a bit of my life.
